Love, Laughter, & Lipstick is one of our largest and most anticipated events of the year. We’re expecting an exceptional array of women from the east coast to gather for a day of education, entertainment, and empowerment. This day is designed to enhance the lives of women by addressing issues that specifically impact their “health, hearts, and style.” Throughout the day, this event will offer a variety of guest speakers, demonstrations, entertainment, sampling, and shopping. Juliet Jones, known to most as “Lady J”, has created a gathering of the city’s “Jewels”, a sisterhood that represents women of all walks and stages of life, that empowers, encourages, and embodies a safe place to share and do life together. Love, Laughter & Lipstick was conceived with a wider vision that focuses on changing a community, launching women who walk in their purpose with greater influence.
Over the last few years, during the first weekend in November, Love, Laughter & Lipstick has taken over Bethel Church! This year, we look to continue the momentum at The Maxwell Center, a multi-purpose facility whose overall size is 66,000 square feet and consists of two wings. To date, over 1300 beautiful women, from various backgrounds and ethnicities have come together from across the east coast for this life-changing event!
This is a tremendous day filled with education, entertainment, and empowerment; a day that is designed to enhance the lives of women by addressing issues that specifically impact their “health, hearts, and style.” Each time we’ve gathered, God has met us, confirming the vision, and we know that the best is yet to come!
Over the past few years, the City Jewels have hosted a wide variety of guest entertainment that included National Recording artists Travis Greene, Isaiah Templeton, Shana Wilson-Williams, and Todd Galberth. Along with the laughs of notable Comics like Mike Goodwin, Timothy Shropshire, and the internet sensation Ms. Shirleen. City Church of Goldsboro’s very own Sound of the City has opened up each year, blessing our attendees with a musical experience like none other. Juliet Jones, affectionately known as “Lady J”, serves with her husband, Terry Jones, as Pastors of The City Church of Goldsboro (2014) and leads the incomparable women’s ministry of City Church of Goldsboro known as CITY Jewels. Graduating from Eastern Wayne HS, class of 1999, Lady Juliet journeyed with her high school sweetheart, Pastor Terry, to University of Mount Olive as student athletes. (read more)

Terry Jones is the lead pastor of City Church of Goldsboro; first official gathering on January 26, 2014. Born a preacher’s kid, Terry has benefited greatly from his rich, church pedigree. As a local product, born and raised, God has placed a burden in Terry’s heart for his home city. Terry was pleased to share of his childhood through the local Eastern Wayne Schools. (read more)

Shana Wilson-Williams born and raised in Detroit MI the youngest daughter of Bishop Samuel and Lady J Wilson founders/pastors of Community Christian Fellowship church. She serves as worship leader, and Music Ministry Coordinator. Shana is a worshipper who’s known for her giftedness in Songwriting and her ability to lead people into the presence of God. (read more)

Christianee Porter, also known as The Christi Show, is an actress, writer, singer, and comedian from Little Rock, Arkansas who currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Born into a family of entertainers, it was no surprise that she was blessed with the ability to entertain others. By the age of eight, she was writing, singing, and performing in front of anyone who was willing to listen.
